Joe Boozer is the broker-owner of North County Associated Brokers and JB Properties, providing management supervision and training for the agents and brokers working for North County Associated Brokers and representation of his personal clients interests under JB Properties.  With the help of his wife, Ann, the office manager and co-owner of the companies,  they provide the management for both companies.

Joe has been a real estate broker in North County for over 40 years, specializing in home sales and purchase and management of his client’s properties when needed. He started his careen in 1978 when he and Ann came back to North County after a year’s absence when he took a job transfer from the Cleveland National Forest to the Sequoia National Forest while working for the U.S. Forest Service as an assistant ranger. (Joe’s BS degree is in forestry).

Joe became very interested in real estate in the 1970’s and completed all the course work for an MBA degree in real estate from San Diego State University in 1976. He worked a year in the “lands division” of the U.S. Forest Service after transferring from Escondido and the Cleveland National Forest to Porterville and the Sequoia National Forest. In 1978, however, he and Ann made the “decision of their life” to leave the Forest Service and return to North County, the area they loved and wanted their children to grow up in!

Joe started his real estate sales career specializing in the neighborhoods of  Eastern San Marcos, which was much less developed in the late 1970s!  In fact most of the area along the eastern boundary was pasture land for dairy cows belonging to Hollandia Dairy! What is now the University District around Cal State San Marcos was a large chicken ranch!  Joe has seen many changes over the years as the whole North County developed!

Joe worked for a number of real estate companies, both private and franchises, over the next 30 years (see “Resume”) and was a “top producer” for them before opening his own company in 2009.  He is most proud of achieving the “Centurion” award for 8 straight years with Century 21! See “Joe’s Resume” and “Qualifications to Serve You” for details on his education and experience.

Joe has enjoyed servicing his client’s needs over the past 40 years!  His business is dedicated to serving the needs of his past clients and their referrals!  They come back to him again and again as they and their family and friends need assistance with a real estate need, buying, selling or management of a rental home they own.  He says that the most rewarding thing to him in the business to having a past client return for help or referring their friends or relatives to him. There is “no greater compliment” to my service! ( To read the “Testimonials” of some of Joe’s past clients–“click here“).

After 40+ years Joe looks back at that decision to give up his career in the Forest Service and go out on his own in real estate and is happy he did it.  He and his wife, Ann, raised their two boys, Jeff and Randy in North County!  They have four wonderful grandchildren and have watched them grow up!  Celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 2018 they truly feel blessed that they have had the life and success in business they have–they thank their many past clients for their support over the years!  They look forward to continuing to serve their clients needs in the coming years, and are hoping that perhaps the sons may join the business sometime.

Joe and Ann lost their oldest son, Jeff, in May of 2020 when he passed away suddenly in his sleep.  Jeff was 49, a graphic artist and a great guy and father!  They have committed themselves to help in support of finding a cure of juvenile diabetes, which Jeff contracted at age 16 and was the cause of his death! This cause keeps them working serving the needs of their many past clients and managing North County Associated Brokers!  They hope you will give them a call next time you need real estate assistance!

Give Joe a call or text him anytime at 619-988-7222.  He will be glad to assist you with any of your real estate needs or questions.
